The cricketer made the statement during an interview to a foreign news channel.
Yasir Shah, who took 10 wickets to help Pakistan beat England by 75 runs at Lord’s, said that he has been a fan of Australian leg spinner Shane Warne since his childhood days.
The Pakistani spinner added that he keeps asking for Warne’s advices on spin bowling.
The leg spinner said that Mushtaq Ahmed is his mentor.
Shah said, “I was fortunate that both Shane Warne and Mushtaq Ahmed were present at Lord’s when I was bowling in the test match.”
“One gave me tips while the other was doing commentary,” Shah added.
Answering a question regarding his resemblance to renowned footballer Lionel Messi, Yasir Shah added that he was a big fan of the Argentine star. He requested his fans to call him by his name.
He went on to say that there is no shortage of cricketing talent in the country.
