Hi-tech scanners placed at entry, exit points of Karachi to prevent arms influx

KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers Sindh have installed hi-tech scanners on all ins and outs of Karachi to keep a check on weapons and other illegal goods’ influx in the megapolis, ARY News reported.

According to details, illegal arms have been used in terrorism activities in the city for prevention of which the Rangers in the first phase have installed scanners on all ins and outs of the city.

This way the transportation of arms, drugs and other illegal goods will now come to a halt.

Officials said that small vehicles and other secret entrances into the city will also be kept in check through routine patrol and raids.

The newly-installed scanners are able of complete sweeping of all parts and secret chambers of heavy vehicles and soon such scanning machines will be installed at all entry and exits of the province.
