Hina Rabbani Khar is perhaps one of the most celebrated female Pakistani politicians of all time and she owes a great deal of it to her looks. The former Pakistani foreign minister had attracted quite a lot of media frenzy and attention during the PPP tenure for her sense of style and beauty. Hence the news that Bollywood actress Divya Dutt’s look in her upcoming movie Irada has been inspired by Khar’s getup.
“Although it wasn’t deliberate, the look is really attractive and yes, has similarities to the way Hina dressed and conducted herself. When I landed on set in getup many commented on how I looked like Hina and we decided to keep the look since the reactions were so positive. Ramandeep is a Punjabi woman of grit and determination who is alternatively loud and subtle. It didn’t require much prep because the directors Aparna Singh and Nishant Tripathi, knew exactly what they wanted. I simply followed their vision,” she said.
Divya Dutt will star in Irada which will also feature prominent Bollywood actors Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi. In the film, Dutt plays the role of Ramandeep, an Indian female politician whose sense of dressing and mannerism is quite similar to Pakistan’s own Hina Rabbani Khar.
Hina did inspire a lot of Pakistani women but to catch the attention of a Bollywood diva is a first indeed!
