‘Historic’ rally: Fervent PTI supporters throng Minar-e-Pakistan

LAHORE: A large number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters have started thronging Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore, to attend party’s mammoth public rally, ARY News reported.

PTI chief Imran Khan will leave from Bani Gala, Islamabad to Lahore at 6pm.

A 19 foot stage is formed for the gathering. At least 50,000 chairs have been placed at the venue to accommodate large number of supporters.

PTI leader Shireen Mazari said party head Imran Khan will address the historic gathering at around 9pm.

Security plan for the gathering has been finalized. Besides, 3,000 policemen will perform their duties at Minar-e-Pakistan ground and its adjacent areas while three Superintendents of Police (SPs) will monitor the security situation.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that the gathering will be a historic one.

Earlier, the party had taken out a rally at Liberty Chowk area of Lahore in order to mobilize people for its large public meeting.
