The blast resulted in wounding one Rangers personnel and a minor passer by.
One terrorist was nabbed in injured condition and a huge cache of arms was recovered from the place. Bomb Disposal Squad denied the earlier report that the blast was a suicide attack claiming that the bomb was remote controlled.
The area was cordoned off as the Rangers personnel were busy in a search operation in Faqir Colony and Preshan Chowk localities of the area.
People of the area and media personnel are directed to stay away from the spot while Rangers contingents are arriving in large numbers to continue the operation.
It must be noted that the search operation was initiated on the information gathered from the suspects of Safoora Chowrangi bus attack.
