I respect PCB decision: Ahmed Shahzad

KARACHI: After four days of being dropped from England tour, Pakistani batsman Ahmed Shahzad on Friday said his focus of attention was Pakistan’s interest and he respected Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decision, ARY News reported.

“Runs are more important for me than discipline, however I respect PCB decision,” he said while visiting a thalassemia hospital to spend time with patients kids and motivate people to donate blood for them. He cut cake and distributed gifts among the children.

The batsman has been ruled out of training camp for England on disciplinary grounds.

Shahzad said whenever he visited Karachi he met thalassemia kids. “They become happy by taking selfies, so I take selfies with them.” To a query, he said he could not quit taking selfies as they were reason to bring smiles on many faces.

He posted on Twitter: “Being a kid again with these hero kids at the Omair Sana Foundation at Karachi.”
