I would not have allowed US drone strikes as PM: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday said had he been prime minister of Pakistan, he would not have allowed United States carry out drone strikes in Pakistani territory, ARY News reported.

“US did not let peace establish in our tribal areas. Afghan refugees should not be treated badly. They came here under compulsion. Peace in Afghanistan is in interest of Pakistan,” he said while talking to host of ARY News program ‘Sawal Yeh Hay’.

He said stopping drone strikes was imperative. Peace could be established with negotiations not war.

To a query, he said PTI had given awareness to Karachiites and they were no more afraid of Muttahida Qaumi Movement now. They could now cast vote of their own choice.
