Ibad failed to meet MQM’s expectations, says Rizvi

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi on Wednesday said that the Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad failed to meet the expectations of party chief Altaf Hussain, ARY News reported.

In his word with ARY News, Haider Abbas Rizvi said that the party [MQM] had lately been under pressure from various corners and it was expected that Ibad will play the role of a ‘bridge’.

“But, the Sindh governor failed to meet all these expectations,” he regretted. “Ibad is no more a party member, nor has he anything to do with the organization.”

Earlier, Altaf Hussain had said that Governor Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad has no affiliation with the MQM.

Talking to a private television channel this morning, the MQM chief had referred to Ibad as a ‘representative of the establishment’.
