IG Sindh directs to chalk out security plan for Eid

KARACHI: Inspector General Police Sindh AD Khawaja on Sunday directed police to chalk out foolproof security plan for three days of Eid-ul-Fitr in the province, ARY News reported.

IG Sindh ordered to make contingency plan for Eid gatherings and deploy additional police personnel during Eid prayers.

Apart from Eid congregations, exceptional security would be provided to all the public places including shopping centers, Eid bachat bazaars, railway stations, bus terminals etc.

According to the contingency plan, surveillance teams would be formed at police station level, while all the SPs, SDPOs and SHOs would ensure through patrolling that all the worshipping places were provided proper security.

“Distribution of objectionable literature, wall-chalking, posters and pamphlets would not be allowed,” the IG Sindh said.
