A division bench of SHC comprising Justice Ahmed Ali M. Sheikh and Justice Farooq Shah hearing the case during which IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali was also present.
Sindh Police chief Jamali and others were charged in contempt of court case for the siege of the High Court’s building and thrashing former home minister of Dr Zulfiqar Mirza‘s guards and media men by the policemen during a court hearing on March 23.
The masked policemen had also smashed several parked vehicles and snatched cameras from the newsmen in the court premises.
The bench resumed hearing of the case on Tuesday (today) wherein a charge-sheet was presented against Jamali and nine other police officers.
In previous hearings, the court had turned down the affidavits for unconditional apologies filed by the police officers.
