Imran Abbas has been known to swoon ladies with his killer looks and mesmerizing sense of style. His first ever Bollywood venture with the sultry Bipasha Basu in Creature 3D failed to impress at the box office or garner appreciative reviews. However, the Pakistani import in Bollywood is determined to redeem himself as a worthy actor in Bollywood and will be seen in Muzaffar Ali’s next Jaanisaar.

The trailer of the film (which was released yesterday) features Imran Abbas in a royal look, with shoulder length hair and his usual suave personality. The Pakistani hunk romances debutante Pernia Qureshi, who essays the role of a courtesan in the movie. The couple can be seen falling in love for each other’s magnetic personalities yet however, as is the case with all love stories, something goes wrong. The lovers are driven apart and what’s worse, there seems to be an ongoing Hindu-Muslim divide (like we expected anything else from a movie focusing on a pre partitioned sub-continent).

Jaanisaar has been directed by the famous Indian director Muzaffar Ali, who also directed the smash-hit film Umrao Jaan. Muzaffar Ali has taken to the director’s chair after a long hiatus. Regarding the movie, this is what Muzaffar Ali said:-

“This is my comeback film as a filmmaker. This film takes off from where Umrao Jaan left off and is seeped in history. With this film, I want people to discover a lost culture.”

The eagerly anticipated film releases on August 21, 2015. Hopefully the new feature film will help propel Imran Abbas towards better prospects in the Indian film industry.
