Imran accuses PMLN of pre-election rigging in GB

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan on Sunday strongly condemned pre-election rigging in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and vowed to consult the Supreme Court on the issue, ARY News reported.

Holding a press conference here, Imran Khan accused PMLN of trying to rig the election in GB, for which according to him a PMLN minister has been appointed as the governor and an official of the Karakoram Bank has been made the chief minister.

He vowed that his party will consult the apex court against the conduct of poll under such controversial circumstances.

The PTI chief repeated his stance that the PMLN came into power through historic rigging in the last general elections and if the federal government does not form a judicial commission, even then irrefutable evidences or irregularities will be brought before the nation.

Expressing displeasure over horse-trading in Senate election, he stressed on the need of a constitutional amendment to change the secret balloting system for the Senate poll.

While talking about foreign assets of the finance minister and other members of the ruling party, Khan demanded for bringing forth the details of investments in Dubai’s real state before the nation.
