Imran hints at massive sit-in this August

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan Thursday hinted at a massive sit-in in the month of August if the terms of reference (ToRs) of Panamagate probe were not finalized, ARY News reported.

The skipper said that his workers and party leaders were trained in the art of protest during 2014 sit-in and now a huge demonstration will be staged against government in August this year.

“The government wants to exclude prime minister’s name from the ToRs, but Tehreek-i-Insaf will not let this happen in any case,” he maintained.

The PTI chief said if Peoples Party abandoned them then it would become evident before the people that it was protecting the government to hide its own corruption.

Imran said that the government has a chance to finalize the terms until Eid, for after that we will only be left with a way to protest.

It is pertinent to note here that the deadlock between government and opposition on ToRs of Panama leaks probe is still persisting, whereas Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also hinted at giving tough time to government on the issue.
