Khan’s nephews – Azeem and Abdullah – were arrested on Wednesday from Lahore’s Race Course area after they allegedly hurled abuses at a traffic warden who stopped them for violating traffic rules.

In his tweets, the PTI head blasted the Punjab police, calling them “monster force”. He asked: “Since when has Punjab police beaten & tortured people for traffic offence? My nephews were meted out this treatment because of who they are.”

The PTI chief also not spared Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, saying “Shameful how Shahbaz Sharif had the gall to call my sister when he is responsible for turning Punjab police into a monster force.”
