Imran demands NA-246 by-polls under Rangers security

ISLAMABAD: PTI chief Imran Khan has demanded deployment of Rangers during by-elections in National Assembly constituency (NA-246) – an area dominated by MQM – in Karachi, ARY News reported.

MQM must now decide whether it wants to indulge in democratic politics or tactics based on terrorizing people, he said while speaking to media outside his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad.

Regarding latest surge in petrol prices, Khan said government previously brought down petrol rates due to PTI sit-ins in Islamabad, however, it had now reverting to profit-making measures.

He reiterated his stance that Pakistan must not join Saudi offensive against Yemen. Pakistan could play a mediator’s role in defusing tension in Saudi-Yemen conflict. He demanded that nation should be apprised of compulsions for sending Pakistan Army to assist Saudis in Yemen.
