Imran ends civil disobedience a day after marriage

Islamabad Electricity Supply Corporation (Iesco) officials confirmed that Mr. Khan has paid his electricity bills outstanding since his made an announcement for civil disobedience on August 17, 2014.

The power to PTI chief’s residence in Bani Gala, Islamabad has now been restored, they added. Imran paid two electricity bills cumulatively amounting to Rs 1,36,745.

The PTI chief had called upon people during his Islamabad sit-in to boycott payment of their utility – gas, power and water – bills in protest against the PML-N government.

Supply of power to Imran’s Bani Gala residence was subsequently disconnected when he stopped paying the bills.
