Imran Farooq murder: British investigation team arrives in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A team of British investigators on Saturday arrived in Islamabad to investigate arrested suspects Mohsin Ali Syed and Khalid Shamim regarding the Imran Farooq murder case, ARY News reported.

Every passing day is bringing advancement in the high-profile murder case as the British investigation team also arrived in Pakistan today, which comprises of five members.

Sources told that the Scotland Yard team will first be briefed about the investigations of the case so far, while it also includes an interpreter.

The team will probe arrested suspects Mohsin Ali Syed and Khalid Shamim, and record their audio/video statements.

It was further reported that if the suspects named Moazzam Ali in connection to the case, then he will also be questioned by the British investigators.

Sources added that all the three suspects have already been moved to Islamabad.

The British investigation team will also hold meetings with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and officials of the Pakistani intelligence agencies.
