The suspects – Moazzam Ali Khan, Khalid Shamim and Syed Mohsin Ali – were arrested by Federal Investigation Agency.

ATC judge Syed Kausar Abbas Zaidi conducted the hearing of the case. He approved remand of the three suspects and handed them over to FIA.

Earlier, district and sessions judge Raja Khurram Ali Khan had granted Federal Investigation Agency seven days physical custody of three accused, and directed the agency to produce them before the court on January 4 (today).

It may be noted that lawyers for three accused had opposed extension in their clients’ physical remand and requested the court not to extend the physical custody but the court rejected their plea and granted FIA their seven days physical custody.

Cases have also been registered against MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, Muhammad Anwar, Iftikhar Hussain, Kashif Khan Kamran, Syed Mohsin Ali, Moazzam Ali and Khalid Shamim in the murder case.
