PTI’s Imran Ismail says ‘dissatisfied’ by Rangers role

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Ismail has expressed dismay over electoral process in Karachi, saying, “We are not satisfied with the role of Rangers.”

Speaking in the ARY News program, he criticized the Election Commission of Pakistan for failing to ensure transparent elections.

He alleged the ECP of compromising the fundamental rule of transparency in polls. “We had demanded deployment of Rangers inside and outside polling stations, but it didn’t happen,” said Ismail.

JI Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur- Rehman also sounded similar to his allied PTI leader.

He said the government and election commission had not given Rangers due powers to take action against ‘saboteurs’.

Whoever wins will carry a fake mandate, he alleged.

He claimed that the government was serving a ‘fake mandate’ to MQM in a plate.
