Mohammad Amir, speaking exclusively with ARY News on Friday, said that Almighty Allah gave him good news on the first day of 2016.

Pakistani left arm pacer Mohammad Amir was named in the Twenty20 and one day squad for the team’s tour to New Zealand. He became eligible for national selection within four months of completing an ICC ban for spot-fixing. He also served half of a six month sentence at a juvenile detention centre in the UK after being convicted of conspiracy to cheat.

“Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar have supported me a lot”, Amir said.

The cricketer also thanked Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and ARY News for their continuous support.

He added that he is getting ready for the negative remarks by the players from the opposing team.

“It is the job of a professional to control any situation. I am happy that things are going my way”, he added.

The pacer said that New Zealand team has been playing good and attacking cricket recently.
