Imran cancels Abbottabad rally after ECP notice

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has cancelled tomorrow’s rally in Abbottabad which was to be addressed by him, ARY News reported.

The decision was made after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) served a notice on Imran Khan for violating the ECP code of conduct through his announcements during public rallies in KP.

Sources told that the PTI chairman has directed party MNAs, MPAs and the KP chief minister to follow the ECP code of conduct.

Imran Khan was scheduled to address 12 rallies at different places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all of which have been cancelled now.

Khan has also demanded the ECP for an action against Nawaz-league as according to him the ruling party is violating the rules in Gilgit-Baltistan.
