Imran Khan hails Karachi operation

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Thursday hailed Rangers operation in Karachi by saying “It’s the beginning of the freedom of Karachi “, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media today, Imran Khan said Rangers operation gives hope that soon terrorism will be wiped out from Karachi.

He said that no one is safe in the metropolis neither lawmakers nor the security personnel.

Commenting on the recovery of arms and ammunition from MQM headquarter Nine-Zero, Imran Khan said PTI would have been banned if such huge cache of weapons  recovered from the party office.

PTI Chief has asked for the formation of military courts in Karachi.

He alleged MQM for killing PTI’s Zahra Shahid.

Zahra Shahid was killed late on the night of May 18, 2013 in an attempted robbery incident on the eve of re-polls in Karachi’s NA-250 constituency.

According to law enforcers’ account, three motorcyclists had tried to snatch Ms Shahid’s handbag and opened fire upon resistance by the PTI leader outside her residence in the city’s Defence Housing Authority Phase-IV.

“MQM workers killed Zehra Shahid in Karachi but no eye witness is ready to appear before court because of fear”, said Imran Khan.
