Imran vows to launch fresh movement against rulers after Eid

“Pakistanis have become aware now. This is the golden time that they hold their rulers accountable for money theft,” he said while talking to media in Karachi.

He said the rulers have posted their favored people in every institution who were more loyal to them than the country. Such acts of the rulers have immensely damaged the country.

The chairman PTI lauded Rangers’ operation in Karachi, which has considerably brought down crime rate. 

“However, police system needs to be improved for permanent control over crimes. Police should remain unbiased and apolitical otherwise durable peace is not possible in the city,” he said.

He said peace in Karachi cannot be restored without purging the police of black sheep. He also said governance needs to be improved in the city.

Imran Khan said the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had brought excellent changes in police system of KP. Recruitments are made on merit in the province. While, performance of the provincial police has been lauded by corps commander KP himself for playing key role in controlling terrorism.

He also condoled with the family of renowned qawwal Amjad Sabri at his home and then visited prominent social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi to inquire about his health.

It should be noted that Amjad Sabri, 45, was travelling by car from his home to a television studio on 22nd June, when a motorcycle pulled up alongside the vehicle and the attackers opened fire. Sabri was hit by five bullets and was declared dead at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

While ailing head of Edhi Foundation, Abdul Sattar Edhi has long been suffering from the disease of kidneys. The social worker has refused to travel abroad for treatment and has been under treatment of Dr Adeeb Rizvi’s kidney hospital in Karachi.

Imran Khan is will stay at the residence of Tariq Shafi in Karachi and will leave for Islamabad after having his pre-dawn meal (Sehri).
