Imran lauds Rangers for security cover in NA-246 by-polls

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said commended Rangers ‘for protecting the voters’ during the by-elections in NA-246 constituency, ARY News reports on Friday.

Imran Khan, in his message on Twitter, said he congratulates PTI candidate Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi and the party’s Karachi team for its fearless campaign.

In his tweet, Khan also targeted  Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) for resorting to violence against its opponents.

The PTI Chairman added that the party structure will be improved in every constituency after learning the lessons.

It should be noted that violence broke out in different parts of the constituency after the polling process came to an end on Thursday and several people were also arrested during clashes with Police.

MQM’s Kunwar Naveed Jamil emerged victorious by a landslide after securing 95,644 votes followed by PTI’s Imran Ismal who managed to secure 22,821 votes.

Rashid Naseem of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) came third after winning 9,056 votes only.
