Imran questions opponents’ silence after Elections 2013

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday questioned why were the ones silent after the General Elections 2013 who are now accusing irregularities in the recent LB elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), ARY News reported.

Talking to media, Imran Khan reiterated his stance of holding re-elections across KP local bodies.

“We never considered it a play and are ready to hold re-elections despite having won the polls,” he added.

The PTI chairman also demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to first hold trial election.

To those demanding CM Pervez Khattak to step down, he questioned, “Why were they silent after the General Elections 2013?”

Khan further said that the voting bags substantiate that Tehreek-i-Insaf secured majority of votes.
