SUKKUR: President Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday said Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan should understand PPP’s stance on Panama Leaks, ARY News reported.

He said the PPP thinks that approaching the court for Panama Leaks case was a blunder.

“Imran Khan’s way of politics consists of several U-turns which had troubled even his party leaders. We have had worked with Khan in the past, however he himself parted ways with the PPP,” he said while talking to media at house of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah in Sukkur.

The PPP leader said Imran should reconsider his past decisions and try to understand PPP’s stance on Panama Leaks case.

He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will not be punished by any court or commission.

“History proves that had cases in the court been against PPP, the party would have been punished long ago,” he also said.

Responding to the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb’s statement against the PPP’s demands, he said the state minister should give statements with deliberation. The federal government should accept our Panama Bill, he added.

Maryam has disapproved the deadline for protest by the chairman PPP since his four demands were not being addressed. She said the state could not afford politics of allegations and container protests.

Kaira said militant’ camps and sleeping cells have still been active in Punjab and National Action Plan (NAP) being mostly implemented in Sindh only.

“NAP is being implemented in only one part of the country and that is Sindh, while its implementation is scarce in Punjab,” he said.

He said if the government did not accept four demands of the PPP, then his party would announce next course of action against the government in the rally of December 27. If the PPP would take to streets, it would be accompanied by all the opposition parties, he said.

Kaira also said it has been evident that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will not be punished by any court or commission.

He said PPP is the only party having roots all over Pakistan and its workers are present in every corner of the country.
