Imran shrugs off protest by party workers in Karachi

KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Saturday shrugged off a protest by party workers against PTI Karachi chapter leadership saying that he can’t be blackmailed by gathering a few masses, ARY News reported.

Annoyed with PTI Karachi chapter leadership, workers gathered outside Insaf House here and chanted ‘Go Zaidi Go’.

Despite ‘no confidence’ protest by party activists, the skipper reposed his complete trust in Zaidi and reprimanded the workers telling that the PTI Karachi leader is not going anywhere.

“No one can be forced to go by gathering a few masses,” Khan rebuked. “Nor, your skipper knows getting blackmailed.”

It seems as if the protest reminded Imran Khan of the failure of his long-staged dharna in Islamabad; when he gathered people demanding PM Nawaz Sharif to step down.

But facing a protest against his chosen leader, the skipper today asked party activists to back off.
