Imran denounces 'threats' to Karachi traders

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan on Friday declared the Shikarpur blast as negligence of the Sindh government, while he also termed threats to Karachi’s trade fraternity a ‘conspiracy’ against the country, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference at Bani Gala, Imran Khan denounced the Shikarpur blast that claimed at least 40 lives earlier in the day and held the Sindh government responsible for it.

Speaking about the forthcoming Senate elections, the PTI chairman warned of a serious action if any of his party’s MPAs compromised his vote.

He said that as long as the police are not depoliticized, peace cannot be restored in the country.

Moreover, the skipper claimed that Tehreek-i-Insaf will soon file another petition in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
