Imran takes notice of flooding in KP, orders relief steps

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has taken notice of flooding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and directed the provincial government urgent steps to redress the situation in the province, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

Chairman of the provincial ruling party in a statement, after almost a week of flooding in PTI-governed KP, directed the government to take measures in Chitral and other parts of the province to extend relief to people affected by the ravages of flash floods.

Imran Khan said that the central government, ignoring the need of the building of water reservoirs, has left hundreds of thousands of the people on the mercy of the ravages of flooding every year.

The PTI chairman further said that the entire nation suffering the result of negligence of the governments of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan People’s Party.
