Imran takes notice of PTI’s drubbing in LG polls

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has taken notice of party’s defeat in local government elections in 12 districts of Punjab including Lahore and sought explanation from the party members concerned, ARY News reported.

The PTI chief has summoned Chaudhary Sarwar and other PTI leaders concerned to Bani Gala along with election record.

Khan is visibly upset with party’s drubbing in Lahore where it could only bag 12 seats as unveiled in the unofficial results so far.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz secured 220 seats from Lahore alone.

Remaining two phases of local government polls in 24 districts of Punjab will take place in next 50 days.
