Imran terms rulers as ‘corruption experts’

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said that rulers are corruption experts, ARY News reported.

He made the statement while speaking in ARY News program Power Play hosted by anchor Arshad Sharif.

The PTI chief said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is saving everyone in his ranks to protect himself. He also said that the people are paying the price of the corruption which is being done in the country.

Khan said, “The rulers are making money through all major development projects. They are corruption experts.”

He also claimed that serving National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar-uz-Zaman Chaudhry will not take any action against corruption. He also claimed that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is making documents to protect the prime minister.

He added that the rulers are trapped. He went on to say that PM Sharif was thinking that nothing will happen.

“Never has been the chief executive of the country been inquired like this before,” Khan said.

He further said, “Never has any government made so much money in such a short period of time like Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) government has. The serving NAB chief will not investigate corruption in the country.”

The Tehreek-e-Insaf said that the federal government had to return loans worth billions of rupees.

PTI chief stated that he will file a reference against Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif. Khan claimed that CM Sharif had he set up five sugar mills on the name of power plants in the lands where cotton is produced.

He went on to say that government has admitted that Qatari royal family was their business partner for 25 years. He added, “In this way, they gave business contracts to themselves.”
