India claiming of surgical strikes to satisfy its people: Jillani
WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani has reaffirmed that Pakistan has the capability to fully respond to any aggression against its soil.
In an interview, he rubbished the Indian claim of surgical strikes in Pakistan the claim of surgical strikes by India.
The envoy said “we are in constant touch with the White House and US administration regarding the current situation”. He said Pakistan reserves the right to defend itself. Jilani said over 4000 terrorists have been killed in Operation Zarb-e-Azb in which all terrorist groups including Haqqani network were targeted without any discrimination.
He said India was calling the incident of firing on Line of Control (LoC) as surgical strikes in order to satisfy its people.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US said India has violated the charter of SAARC by refusing to attend the meeting in Islamabad.
He said Pakistan was also fighting a battle against the proxies of cold war.
