According to a report in an Indian newspaper, the applicants will be able to keep track of their visa applications through the online system as well.

The manual system will cease to function from the first of August this year and all visa applications will be processed through the online system after the due date.

The system seeks to facilitate Pakistanis, mainly Hindus and Sikhs, who wish to refuge to India in fear of religious persecution and discrimination. They will also be given an option to permanently settle in India as well.
