KARACHI: Amid mounting tensions between India and Pakistan over border situation, former Bollywood actress and renown filmmaker Pooja Bhatt headed out to Karachi and celebrated Diwali here.
The actress-turned-filmmaker is being hosted by singer Ali Azmat of ‘Junoon’ band fame.

Reports said Bhatt is on a personal trip to Pakistan. Talking to the media here, Pooja Bhatt stated that she was happy to visit Karachi and added that she has travelled to Pakistan several times before.
Activists of Hindu radical organizations had threatened to stall the release of Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ since it starred Pakistani talent Fawad Khan. However, after intervention, the film did find a safe release.
During her last visit to Karachi in January this year, Pooja Bhatt was absolutely blown away after watching Ho Mann Jahan.
When she walked out of the cinema, the actress couldn’t help but gush that she was “blown away” by the film.
