TOP NEWS

According to Indian media, Syed Mushtaq Nadvi, a cleric in Bhopal in his sermon of Eid prayers on Tuesday asked people, “Every year his (Salman Khan’s) film is released on Eid and you go and watch it. It is my request that you do not watch any film today.”

He urged people to stay at home and welcome the guests on this holy day. The Bollywood flick Kick starring Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Randeep Hooda and Jacqueline Fernandes was released on last Friday.

Reports say many other clerics in several mosques across Bhopal said the same to people after prayers. According to them, the sacred day of Eid after the holy month of Ramadan is the time to seek reward for their fasting. They said that people fast for one month during Ramadan then how could they go to cinema halls on the celebrations of Eid.
