Indian female who married Pakistani awaits visa extension

Pakistan’s Interior Ministry has not extended the visa of the Indian female, named Mehr-un-Nisa, as yet despite the fact that the application was filed a month ago. Her temporary visa is set to expire today.

The woman identified as 22-year old Mehr-un-Nisa made friends with a Pakistani man named Ejaz Khan residing and got married to him after the two became friends on Facebook.

Ejaz Khan, speaking exclusively with ARY News, said that Interior Ministry told him that their visa application is in process.

The woman claims that there are threats to her life and has requested the federal government’s cooperation over the matter.

The couple is currently residing in Swat.

Mehr-un-Nisa’s husband had also requested the federal government to grant permanent Pakistani citizenship so she could spend her entire life in the country.
