Indian forces shoot dead eight Kashmiris

According to details, thousands of Kashmiris took to the streets to protest against the killing of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.

The Indian forces opened fire when the citizens violated the curfew and took part in the funeral prayers. Eight Kashmiris were reported dead whereas 90 others were wounded in the shooting.

The enraged citizens set fire to three Indian police stations after which the Indian authorities put Kashmiri leaders Yaseen Malik, Shabbir Shah, Mirwaiz Farooq and Ali Gillani under detention.

Leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference have appealed the masses to offer absentia funeral prayers for Wani.
