He expressed these views during a Senate session where he said that conducting the tests India has demonstrated irresponsibility. The adviser on Foreign Affairs charged the neighboring arch-rival with efforts to start a nuclear arms race in the region.

Sartaj Aziz said that India has even conducted a nuclear submarine test, whereas the recent missile tests pose a clear threat to the security of Pakistan.

Pakistan is deeply concerned over the tests for they could affect the balance of powers in the region, he said.
