Indians are devoid of sportsmen spirit: Hanif Khan

TOP NEWS

India lost the third place play-off to Australia by 2-1 score in Hockey Champions Trophy underway in Bhubaneswar in India. Indian players also pushed Australian player during the match.

“It is Indian team that should be banned. They don’t accept their defeat and they don’t accept supremacy of International Hockey Federation (FIH). “FIH didn’t took action as there was nothing punishable but it was India who forced FIH to ban our players. Our players only celebrated and swayed away a bit but an apology by our coach was enough,” Hanif said.”

However, Narinder Batra President Hockey India, threatened FIH that India would not host any international event in future if Pakistan players were not punished.

The threats worked for India as FIH banned Amjad Ali and Mohammad Tauseeq for one match, which is the all important final against Germany.
