In order to maintain law and order in Karachi, intelligence agencies have presented a report according to which a total of eighty-six suspects are active in Karachi.
As per the list, forty-eight of the eighty-six suspects are affiliated with political parties and gang-wars. These suspects are involved in nefarious activities which include target-killing, extortion, street crimes and providing foreigners with I.D cards.
It has also been stated in the report that these individuals are involved in threatening and intimidating political opponents during the election campaigning of the Local Bodies elections. Hence, their activities could be the cause of tensions during the LB elections. Law enforcement agencies have been advised to act against these suspects as soon as possible.
On the other hand, Rangers apprehended suspect Zaheer Ahmed alia Piyala. According to the Rangers spokesman, the suspect has admitted to killing 17 people, among them six being police officers.
Rangers also conducted raids in northern bypass Burns road, Bhittai Abad, Aasoo goth, Mulla Essa Goth and arrested twenty-seven suspects involved in gang-war and extortion. Weapons were also seized from these suspects.
