I was intended to join PTI, accepts Saad Rafique

ISLAMABAD: Federal Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday accepted that he wanted to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) in the past, ARY News reported.

Speaking in ARY News’ program ‘Off The Record’ hosted by anchor Kashif Abbasi, the Minister said that he met Imran Khan in the year 2006.

Saad Rafique told that analyst Haroon Rasheed arranged a meeting between him and Imran Khan at parliament lodges.

“Imran Khan offered me post of central secretary general of PTI”, he said.

Replying to his statement, Haroon Rasheed told ARY News that following the meeting with Imran Khan, Saad called on Nawaz Sharif in London where he [Saad Rafique] made a deal with Nawaz Sharif to get election ticket issued to his wife and brother.
