Interior Ministry had warned of terrorist attack in Charsadda

PESHAWAR: The intelligence agencies had information that a group of terrorists were planning to hit Charsadda and communicated it to the relevant departments in an attempt to foil the foul play, reveals a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior in December 2015.

The agencies however didn’t have a tip-off that militants were planning to launch assault on Bacha Khan University, but they did have the clue of looming threat on Charsadda.

According to a letter, the miscreants of Tariq Deedar group (Umar Naray group) were planning to carry out terrorist activity at District Courts Charsadda.

The agencies also shared suspected modus operandi of terrorists.
