Investigation report of Ubaid K2 submitted to court

KARACHI: The investigation report of four accused including Ubaid K2 submitted to the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday, ARY News reported.

Ubaid K2 was arrested from Nine Zero along with other accused in a raid of Rangers last month.

The investigation report discloses that accused Ubaid K2 had killed Karachi Jail official Amanullah for not  facilitating death row convict Saulat Mirza. A court had declared Ubaid K2 as proclaimed offender in the case.

The investigation account said that the planning for Jailer Amanullah’s murder was made after release of accused Saeed Barham from jail. The plan was made in meetings at Liaquatabad School and Apsara Apartments, the report said. Amanullah was murdered on June 6, 2006.

The accused also confessed murders of security officials from 1997 till his arrest. The report said that the accused was also involved in the murder of the workers of Muhajir Qaumi Movement.

Three other accused Faizan, Mumtaz and Wajeeh, who were also arrested from MQM headquarters Nine Zero, were also produced before the court.

Moreover, the court granted 14 days physical remand of Naeem alias Guddu to police in the case of May 12 killings in Karachi.
