As soon the minister reached Shikarpur and visited blast site to meet heirs of victims, a group of large number of residents welcomed him with slogans against the government.
Throughout minister’s stay at the place, enraged people keep chanting slogans against PML-N and prime minister’s neglect to visit Shikarpur after the blast.

They said PM Nawaz Sharif visited Karachi over killing of one person, while over 50 people killed in Shikarpur but PM did not find it right to come to the district to express condolence. The protest, however, remained peaceful throughout the time it took place.
Speaking to media, Ahsan Iqbal said government was highly grieved at this incident. He said provincial government and federal government are working in coordination to eliminate terrorism.
He also met heirs in person despite protest by the residents.
