The actor said Kapoor’s performance in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Hindi adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet marks a new chapter in the actor’s career.
Writing on Twitter, the internationally acclaimed star said in a series of heartfelt tweets: “@shahidkapoor in haider doesn’t emerge as n actor he rather erupts with tremendous force. A new chapter begins from here onwards.”
Well about Shraddha, he wrote that “She looks as if she was born in Kashmir. And What brilliant performance. “

He also praised director Bhardwaj for the powerful Hindi adaptation and commended Tabu and Shraddha Kapoor for their moving performances.
“Vishal’s hamlet is not as confused as Shakespeare’s he is rather wounded emotionally physically,” he continued. “He carries the suffering of whole generation.
“Vishal has come up with his 3rd adaptation of Shakespeare with master stroke. Kashmir has never been shown from inside the way he has.”
The Life of Pi actor stars in the film along with Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Kay Kay Menon.
He previously worked with Vishal Bhardwaj in his adaptation of Maqbool which also starred Tabu and Shahid Kapoor’s father, the celebrated actor of stage and screen, Pankaj Kapur.
Haider is scheduled to release on October 2.
