ISIS not operating in Sindh: CM Shah

KHAIRPUR: Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Sunday denied that Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was operating in the province, ARY News reported.

He made the statement while talking to the media after inaugurating a newly constructed building in the Academics Department of Mehran Engineering University.

CM Sindh Shah said that several banned organizations in the province are working by taking the name of ISIS and their objective was to spread fear.

The chief minister said that medicine and health departments come under the provincial government and the centre has no authority to hike medicine costs.

He urged the federal government to work inside their limits and grant Sindh its rights.

“The meeting of Council of Common Interest (CCI) will be held soon in which all the issues of the province will be raised. The provincial government will not compromise on Sindh’s rights”, he said.
