Islamabad Firing: IHC suspends court order for FIR against PM, others

ISLAMABAD: A bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday suspended the order of a sessions court judge for registration of FIR against 11 persons including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for firing at the participants of sit-in in Islamabad, ARY News reported.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of IHC while hearing a plea of the IG Islamabad for removal of his name from the FIR of the firing incident at the Constitution Avenue suspended the lower court’s order.

Session Court Islamabad on a plea of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) had issued orders for registration of the FIR of murder and attempt to murder against the prime minister and 10 other top officials.
