Ismail wants NA-246 to be handed over to military

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) candidate from NA-246 Karachi, Imran Ismail has demanded to handover the constituency to the military till April 23, so that the law and order could be maintained here, ARY News reported.

Speaking at a news conference here on Sunday, Imran Ismail directly accused the MQM nominee, Kunwar Naveed Jamil’s hand in the uprooting of the PTI election camp in Karimabad.

He alleged that ‘those who vandalized the PTI camp in Karimabad were trained MQM workers’.

Ismail demanded the authorities to ensure the protection of workers of all political parties, saying that a human life is more precious than the by-election.

He called for handing over the constituency to the military so that the law and order could be maintained here.

The PTI contestant said, “If we were stopped at a place, we shall go to the other, but won’t give up”.

He also said that MQM had said that the mob which caused unrest in Karimabad included none of its activists and questioned if those were not the MQM workers then how can the party extend help to them.

Imran Ismail also expressed his astonishment over the release of the ones who were arrested for destroying the PTI camp.
