Ismail fears ballot papers theft in Karachi by-election

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf candidate from NA-246, Imran Ismail on Saturday expressed lack of trust on Security Printing Press and fear that the ballot papers for the by-elections could be stolen, ARY News reported.

According to details, Imran Ismail Saturday called on the Secretary ECP Babar Yaqoob and informed him about certain objections regarding forthcoming by-election in NA-246.

Talking to media after the meeting, the PTI candidate said he fears that ballot papers for the by-polls could be stolen.

Ismail added that he informed the secretary ECP about attacks on PTI rallies and election camp.

“The Secretary Yaqoob assured us to address our reservations, however declined from holding by-polls under biometric system due to lack of time,” he concluded.
