In a series of tweets, Bajwa termed the remarks of Altaf Hussain as ‘irresponsible’ and an attempt to use media to incite people against the state adding that the institution will take the matter to the courts.

ISPR spokesman said that army will not tolerate such remarks against the institution and its leadership on the arrest of criminals affiliated with some political party.

Bajwa in the last of such tweets remarked that army and other law enforcement agencies will continue operation against criminals and tasks assigned to them in this regard.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain in his late night television speech against SSP Rao Anwar’s allegations asked Pakistan Army about criminals within their ranks and inquired as to why they surrendered against India in 1971 war.

He was speaking to his party workers and addressed general public while refuting the allegation that MQM has links with Indian intelligence agency RAW.
